Various Reactions to God's Decision

Reaction: Distrust
"Then a new king, who did not know about Joseph, came to power in Egypt. 'Look,' he said to his people, 'the Israelites have become much too numerous for us. Come, we must deal shrewdly with them or they will become even more numerous and, if war breaks out, will join our enemies, fight against us and leave the country.'" (Exodus 1:8-10 NIV)

Reaction: Fear
"Before the spies lay down for the night, she [Rahab] went up on the roof and said to them, 'I know that the LORD has given this land to you and that a great fear of you has fallen on us, so that all who live in this country are melting in fear because of you.'" (Joshua 2:8, 9)

Reaction: Hatred
"When Haman saw that Mordecai would not kneel down or pay him honor, he was engraged. Yet having learned who Mordecai's people were, he scorned the idea of killing only Mordecai. Instead Haman looked for a way to destroy all Mordecai's people, the Jews, throughout the whole kingdom of Xerxes." (Esther 3:5, 6)

Comments:
Hair, you have a great way of pulling God's word together. I love your devotions based on themes. I am seeing things in the word that I probably would not have ever made connections. Don't stop as I am learning alot.
