Final Overview Concerning the Law
Postulate 1: With or without the Law, Man is a sinner without excuse.
Postulate 2: The Law is the perfect guide that cannot be perfectly followed.
Postulate 3: The ultimate punishment for breaking the Law was death; however, the full penalty was never carried out. (One exception!)
Postulate 4: Not under the Law, but not free from the Law.
Postulate 5: Gentiles commonly speak of freedom from a bondage they never knew.
(Postulate 6: original notes had a sixth postulate, removed in final version)
Postulate 7: Faith is the only way!
"Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil." (Ecclesiastes 12:13,14 NIV)
